Engagement and Proposal Photographer

Surprise proposals, engagement sessions, and couples portraits in Chester County, the Main Line, and around Philadelphia

Planning a proposal is exciting — and a little nerve-wracking. I love helping couples preserve this once-in-a-lifetime moment with photographs you’ll treasure forever.

When you book a proposal session with me, I’ll work with you ahead of time to map out the perfect plan. Whether it’s a quiet park, the restaurant where you had your first date, or a family gathering where everyone is waiting to celebrate, I’ll be there early and ready. I’m skilled at blending in, so your partner won’t suspect a thing until the moment happens.

As soon as you pop the question, I’ll capture the raw emotions: the surprise, the happy tears, and the excitement that follows. Afterward, we’ll transition seamlessly into a short engagement session so you leave with both candid proposal photos and polished portraits to share with family and friends.

I’ll guide you just enough to make sure you look your best, but the focus is on keeping things natural and joyful. You’ll get a mix of wide shots that capture the setting and close-ups that preserve the details of the moment.

Feel free to bring a "prop" or something relevant to you as a couple. This could be a guitar, your dog, a bicycle, or anything that represents what you enjoy doing together! An outfit change is welcome, and I always suggest layering for different looks and to keep you comfortable if the weather doesn't turn out as planned.

If you’re planning to propose, let’s chat about timing, location, and any special touches you want included. With over 20 years of experience photographing milestones, I’ll make sure this incredible memory is preserved beautifully — without giving away the surprise.

Proposal at Villanova University

Engagements and proposals are photographed in Center City, on the Main Line, in Chester County, Delaware County, Montgomery County, New York City, Delaware, New Jersey, and the local beaches.

*My gallery shows multiple images from Longwood Gardens. Please note that they have implemented new rules, and no sessions are allowed on the grounds between October and January. For the remainder of the year, you must obtain a permit and have an escort; photography inside the conservatory is no longer permitted. I can provide you with some ideas on local places with a similar aesthetic.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have about weddings or engagement sessions. Feel free to contact me to start a conversation!
