When Laura and Rob contacted me to shoot their wedding, I immediately knew it was going to be an awesome party and an event to remember! I was not wrong, and I now have a big giant sample album of this wedding to prove it! Here is a selection of some of my favorite photos, even some that are NOT in the sample album.
Laura and her bridesmaids got ready at her house in West Chester. FLOWERS BY PRICILLA in paoli made a fabulous bridal bouquet. Laura wore Stuart Weitzman shoes and a v-cut wedding dress with thick straps. She added the sash for a little sparkle! Wedding attire purchased at THE WEDDING PAVILION at Van Cleve in Paoli, Pennsylvania.
All the bridemaids had matching robes to wear while they got ready, and shared a mimosa toast!
Laura’s dad sees his daughter as a bride for the first time, and then she opens her gifts from her soon-to-be husband! Dom Perignon Champagne, ruby earrings and a ruby necklace. He did good!!!!
We did a few quick photos outside Laura’s house before heading on the limo bus to St Simon and Jude Church in West Chester!
Rob and his groomsmen got ready at the Hotel Warner in the borough of West Chester. The guys help each other primp and then Rob opens his card and gifts from his bride- RayBan sunglasses, and cufflinks from Tiffany’s. The guys take a few photos outside around West Chester and then head to the church for the ceremony! This set of B&W photos was shot by one of my talented second shooters, Carly Abbott.
A nervous groom does knee kicks as he waits for the ceremony to start at St Simon and Jude in West Chester. When he sees his stunning bride he is all smiles, and so is Dad as he gives her away!
The Ceremony took place at Saints Simon and Jude Church in West Chester, Pennsylvania. It was filled with smiles and laughter and love.
After family and bridal party formals at the altar, the bride, groom, and bridal party all left for the party bus to drive to Philly!
With Philadelphia’s City Hall in the background, the “Broad Street Shot” is on most couples’ must-have lists! The steps of the Union League are another favorite spot.
Wedding Party Photos were taken at Rittenhouse Square and Washington Square Park in Philadelphia.
The Second Bank and Independence Park are also great spots for photos!
Ballroom at the Ben is one of my favorite places in the city to shoot a wedding at, and you can see why!
Flowers by Priscilla set up the floral arrangements for this stunning event at the Ben in Philadelphia!
Intros and first dance were immediately followed by a dance set.
No time was wasted in getting down to partying. The band, Masquerade, was amazing at playing the right songs at the right times, and I don’t think the dance floor was empty all night long.
The best man, maid of honor, and bride’s father all toasted the couple in emotional yet hilarious speeches. Just after that, as the guests were being served salads, the bride and groom got up for an impromptu slow dance.
Parent dances were a blast! The groom and mom had a quiet, slow dance, and the bride’s father started off that way, then had a recording of snippets of all of Laura’s favorite songs growing up! Every time a new song would come on, she would laugh excitedly and her and dad had a special dance for almost every song. I loved it!
Masquerade played on and the guests continued to party until midnight. There were even flashing light sticks! It was definitely one of the most exciting receptions I have ever photographed- everyone was having a great time!!
